About · Editorial Board · Est. 2026

The site, the team, and the rules we actually follow.

Most affiliate sites in the AI tools space are written by people who’ve never used the tools. We separate evidence from theater. Every page passes through our Research, Testing, and Editorial desks — and the “Reviewed by” stamp shows exactly how far each one got.

The Cast

Three voices, one editorial standard.

Editorial Lead

The Editor

Calls the shots on what gets reviewed and what doesn’t. Refuses to publish research-only copy that pretends to be real deployment. Wild hair, sharper judgment. The byline on every page is Max Markovtsev; the editorial voice is The Editor.

Insight Lead

Roxy

Friendly analytics bot. One antenna, round eyes. Ranks the field, holds the benchmark notes, and translates technical strengths into plain-language tradeoffs. When you see a score on a comparison card, Roxy compiled it.

Analytical Lead

Atlas

Technical analyst. Sleek visor, two antennas, zero patience for press-release copy. Atlas checks claims against source notes, proof screenshots, owner notes, or clearly marked research limits. If the evidence is missing, the claim gets cut.

Methodology

How we actually evaluate a tool.

  1. 01

    Evidence tier assigned

We state whether a page is based on first-hand use, sandbox or free-tier testing, dated source review, or operator research. No fake deployment notes.

  2. 02

    Operator notes captured when available

For tools we use or can access, we keep notes on setup friction, integrations, pricing surprises, and what the docs do not make obvious.

  3. 03

    Editorial review

Quantitative claims need a source, screenshot, owner note, or a clear label as analysis. Roxy compiles the score. The Editor signs the final verdict.

  4. 04

    Published with disclosure

FTC disclosure on every monetized page, above the fold. Affiliate links marked rel="nofollow sponsored". No exceptions.

The Rules

What we won’t do.

A short list — but enforced absolutely. If we break any of these, email us and we’ll fix it.

  • No proof we can’t show.

Every page carries a “Reviewed by” stamp — Research, Testing, Editorial. We never mark Testing complete without a real screenshot or recording, and we never pass a vendor mockup off as our own.

  • No paid placements.

No vendor pays to move up a list. No vendor edits the copy. If a vendor offers us extra commission to rank them higher, we say no — and we keep the email as proof.

  • No "Top 50" filler.

If a category has 3 tools worth using, we’ll write about 3. If it has 1, we’ll write about 1 — and tell you what we tried that didn’t make the cut.

  • No hiding the business model.

This site makes money. Three ways: consulting leads (most), affiliate commissions (some), display ads (small). The disclosure is on every page that earns from a recommendation.

The Human Behind It

Written & maintained by Max Markovtsev.

Founder of Purple Orange AI — an AI automation consultancy that builds sales, marketing, and ops systems for B2B teams. Every review on this site separates research, hands-on testing status, and editorial judgment. The editorial personas (The Editor, Roxy, Atlas) are a process frame, not fake staff; the accountability is mine.
